12th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 9 June 2025, the Culture and Information Committee considered, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Electronic Media, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Media Services and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Information and the Media, submitted by the Government.

The sitting was attended by assistant ministers of information and telecommunications Dragan Traparic and Katarina Tomasevic and associates, who presented the bills.

Following a debate, the Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Electronic Media, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Media Services and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Information and the Media.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Nevena Djuric and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Mgr Akos Ujhelyi, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Dr Jovan Janjic, Tatjana Nikolic, Nebojsa Bakarec, Branimir Jovanovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Dusan Maric, Branko Miljus, MA Ljubica Vranes and Lepomir Ivkovic.
