At its 123rd sitting, held on 21 December, the Legislative Committee discussed the Proposal for the Adoption of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 127(1, 2) of the University Education Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 76/2005).
According to the proposed Authentic Interpretation, sent by the Committee to the National Assembly for adoption, titles already obtained, or obtained in the future, under regulations in force before the University Education Act came into effect, must be made equal to titles provided for in the Act. In other words, persons that have obtained ‘professional education degree VII-1’ (i.e. have completed basic University studies) will be equal in their rights to persons obtaining the title of ‘master’ (i.e. a Master’s degree).Committees related to this activity
