10th Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 5 May 2017, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society reviewed and established the Joint Candidate List for the election of the second half of members of the National Education Council whose six-year term of office is due to expire on 25 May 2017.


The Committee members ascertained that the candidates proposed by three authorized nominators: the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbian Language Association of Serbia and the Foreign Language Association of Serbia, do not meet the requirements set out in the Law on the Basis of the System of Education and Upbringing, and have, by majority vote, concluded to exempt their candidates from the list and allow the nominators additional time to adjust their nominations as per the Law.

The Committee adopted the Joint Candidate List bearing 50 candidates nominated by 19 authorized nominators for the election of 20 members of the National Education Council, by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Muamer Zukorlic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Dr Vladimir Orlic, Marko Parezanovic, Natasa St. Jovanovic, Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Fatmir Hasani, Djordje Kosanic, Milena Bicanin, Dr Zarko Korac, Nikola Savic, MA Aleksandra Jerkov and Dr Ratko Jankov.
