The Assembly assists with economic, trade, political, and social cooperation among the countries through the adoption of acts that provide legal grounds for cooperation at the Ministerial level. Its goal is to protect parliamentary democracy; it cooperates with the bodies of Central European Services as well as with regional bodies.
Plenary sessions are convened twice a year in the country of the Chairperson. Between plenary sessions, meetings of working bodies are organized in member states.
Our country has been a full member since 2004.

• Sanda Raskovic Ivic, member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, took part in the 41st meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee, on 4 and 5 September 2013, in Ganja, Azerbaijan.
  
  
• The Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to PABSEC, Predrag Markovic took part in the organisation’s 41st General Assembly, from 9 to 11 July 2013, in Sofia. On the occasion of the Parliamentary Assembly’s 20th anniversary, Predrag Markovic was awarded a special medal by PABSEC President Mihail Mikov, for his contributions.
  
  
• The National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, took part in the 40th session of the PABSEC General Assembly, held from 26 to 28 November 2012, in Baku, Azerbaijan. The delegation of the National Assembly, headed by Predrag Markovic, acting delegation head, comprised Sanda Raskovic Ivic and Bojan Kostres.

The topic of the meeting of the Committee MP Sanda Raskovic Ivic is member of, was public-private partnership.

• The National Assembly hosted the 38th meeting of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, co-organised by the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The meeting of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee took place in Novi Sad, on 18 and 19 April 2012.
