Workshop on Parliament’s Supervisory Role and Its Role in the Adoption of Better Regulations, Organised by Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

The Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues, in cooperation with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), is organising a workshop on “The Parliament’s supervisory role and its role in the adoption of better regulations”, to be held on 19 and 20 November 2012, in Belgrade.


The two-day workshop was opened by the Committee Chairman, Vladimir Cvijan, after which the participants were addressed by the panelists, professor John Bates and Dr Mellanie Sully, ODIHR experts, as well as Latvian MP Lolita Cigane. The workshop will be attended by the MPs, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Supreme Court of Cassation, Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office, AP Vojvodina Assembly, as well as the independent state authorities, civil sector and international organisations.
The workshop is realised based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues and ODIHR so as to promote the legislative procedure and quality of legislative drafting in the Republic of Serbia.
