Vujadinovic Meets with Representatives of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Milimir Vujadinovic met in the National Assembly with representatives of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss the activities carried out so far regarding the protection of property and other rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Milimir Vujadinovic said that the first meeting on this topic with representatives of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and relevant institutions was held in February 2021, when about 1,000 requests from holders of property rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for registration in the property cadastre were submitted. Since then, this topic has gained high media visibility, said Vujadinovic, adding that this resulted in the submission of over 11,000 requests for property registration.

"This is an indicator that concrete success can only be achieved through the joint action of the authorities of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and that only unity brings benefits," said Milimir Vujadinovic. He added that further coordination of all necessary activities should be continued.

Djordje Radanovic, President of the Committee for the Protection of First Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that since the first meeting, in 2021, all the agreed activities have been implemented, as well as that 500 cadastral municipalities where applications for the registration of Serb property have been processed so far, with 1300 cadastral municipalities remaining.

The officials agreed that the coordinated activities of all relevant institutions should continue, as well as that it is important to continue encouraging, especially young people, to exercise their property rights.

On the occasion, the President of the Committee for the Protection of First Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Djordje Radanovic, presented the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Milimir Vujadinovic with the order of the "Protector of the Serbian Land" as a thank you for his personal commitment to preserving the property of Serbs in the Federation.

Vujadinovic pointed out that this order is a recognition, not only for him personally, but for the institutions of the Republic of Serbia and for the state policy he represents as well.
