Third Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

At the sitting held on 7 November, the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered the Ministry of Transport Activity Information for the period 27 July to 27 October 2012.


Miodrag Poledica, State Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, presented the Ministry’s most important activities in the sphere of normative activity, constructing infrastructure and international cooperation. In the abovementioned three-month period the Ministry also completed talks with banks and creditors and programming the international aid from pre-accession funds, state Poledica.
The Committee members asked for additional information on the dynamics and deadlines of the construction of some infrastructural projects, as well as the jurisdiction of certain regional road maintenance institutions and bodies.
At the sitting, the Committee also considered the Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Activity Information for the period August-October 2012. Assistant Minister Milan Punisic presented the main activities in the sphere of spatial planning. In said period, the Ministry also completed the draft spatial plan of the South Stream special purpose area and completed talks with Srbijagas Public Enterprise on further steps toward the adoption of this document. It also resolved the dispute between the Viminacium area and Kostolac coal mine, and the relevant ministries were forwarded several spatial plans to provide their opinion, said Punisic.

The sitting was chaired by Dejan Radenkovic, Committee Chairman.
