Before the beginning of the sitting, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Slobodan Samardzic, Mirko Cikiriz, Dusan Milisavljevicand Miljenko Dereta,requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The National Assembly Speaker set the following agenda:

1. Candidate Proposal for Member of the High Judicial Council from the Ranks of Faculty of Law Professors, submitted by the joint session of Faculty of Law Deans in the Republic of Serbia,

2. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on Border Control in Road, Railway and Water Transport, submitted by the Government.

In the morning part of the proceedings, the National Assembly completed a debate on the Candidate Proposal for Member of the High Judicial Council from the Ranks of Faculty of Law Professors and a single debate on the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on Border Control in Road, Railway and Water Transport, which was elaborated by the representative of the submitter, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic.

As the National Assembly had concluded the debate on all the items on the agenda, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Vesna Kovac, set Thursday, 15 November 2012, as Voting Day on the items on the agenda for the Seventh Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly in 2012, starting at noon.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 15 November 2012, the National Assembly elected Dr Zoran Stojanovic, full professor of criminal justice at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, member of the High Judicial Council from the ranks of Faculty of Law professors, by a majority of votes, and passed the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on Border Control in Road, Railway and Water Transport, also by a majority of votes.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, the National Assembly Speaker, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, concluded the Seventh Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2012.
