Second Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013

The National Assembly Speaker, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, convened the Second Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013, for Friday, 26 April 2013, starting at 11 am.


The following agenda was set for the sitting:

1. The Report on the current process of political and technical dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina with the mediation of the European Union, including the process of implementation of the agreements reached, submitted by the Government.

The sitting was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Jovan Krkobabic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Suzana Grubjesic, Minister of Health Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, Minister of Transport Milutin Mrkonjic, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Zarko Obradovic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Goran Knezevic, Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic, Minister of Culture and Information Bratislav Petkovic, Minister of Youth and Sport Alisa Maric, Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-Government Verica Kalanovic, Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic and Minister without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin, as well as Dejan Pavicevic, Director of the Office for Expert and Operational Tasks in the negotiations process.

The report was presented by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic.

At the beginning of the proceedings, the only item of the agenda was first discussed by the rapporteur of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija, Committee Chairman Milovan Drecun, as well as the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups: the head of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina Parliamentary Group Bojan Kostres, head of the Serbian Renewal Movement – Demo-Christian Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group Aleksandar Jugovic, head of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians Parliamentary Group Balint Pasztor, head of the Together for Serbia Parliamentary Group Dusan Petrovic, head of the United Serbia Parliamentary Group Dragan Markovic - Palma, head of the Liberal Democratic Party Parliamentary Group Cedomir Jovanovic, head of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group Milorad Mijatovic, head of the United Regions of Serbia Parliamentary Group Vladimir Ilic, head of the Democratic Party of Serbia – Vojislav Kostunica Parliamentary Group Slobodan Samardzic, head of the Socialist Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group Branko Ruzic, head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group Borislav Stefanovic, head of the New Serbia Parliamentary Group Miroslav Markicevic, and the head of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group Veroljub Arsic.

At the proposal of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, the National Assembly noted the verification of the terms of office of MPs Branislav Krekic, elected from the CHOICE FOR BETTER LIFE – BORIS TADIC Electoral List and Katica Vijuk, elected from the LET’S GET SERBIA MOVING – TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List, who then proceeded to take the oath of office.

The following MPs took part in the ensuing debate: Zaharije Trnavcevic, Borislav Pelevic, Riza Halimi, Nikola Tulimirovic, Petar Petrovic, Sanda Raskovic Ivic, Bojan Djuric, Goran Bogdanovic, Sasa Milenic, Marko Jaksic, Zvonimir Stevic, Milos Aligrudic, Sinisa Kovacevic, Srdjan Milivojevic, Milovan Drecun, Vojislav Vujic, Dejan Radenkovic, Jadranka Joksimovic, Momir Stojanovic, Aleksandra Tomic, Predrag Markovic, Vladimir Cvijan, Maja Gojkovic, Dragan Sormaz, Marija Obradovic, Djordje Stojsic and Dubravka Filipovski.

As the National Assembly had concluded the debate on the only item on the agenda for the sitting the National Assembly Speaker, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, set Friday, 26 April 2013, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda for the Second Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013, starting at 10.05 pm.

The National Assembly adopted the Decision to accept the Report on the current process of political and technical dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina with the mediation of the European Union, including the process of implementation of the agreements reached, by 173 votes.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, the National Assembly Speaker, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic, concluded the Second Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2013.
