Second Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society
At the sitting held on 6 June 2014, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society discussed the issue of unregulated standards and procedures for the attainment of academic titles and the lack of standards and procedures to ascertain the authenticity of scientific papers.
The sitting was attended by State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development Dr Aleksandar Belic, President of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development Dr Vera Dondur, President of the National Council for Higher Education Prof. Dr Srdjan Stankovic and on the behalf of the Conference of Universities of Serbia (CONUS) Vice-Rector for science of the University of Belgrade Prof. Dr Ivana Popovic and the Rector of Megatrend University Prof. Dr Mica Jovanovic, who discussed the matter with the Committee members and the MPs.
The sitting was chaired by MA Aleksandra Jerkov, Committee Chairperson.
