The Bill on privatisation was elaborated by Assistant Minister of Finance and Economy Nenad Mijailovic, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Bankruptcy by acting director of the Bankruptcy Administrators Licensing Agency Ivana Matic, while Ruzica Stamenkovic, registrar at the Financial Reports and Creditworthiness Data Registry, informed the Committee members about the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Procedure of Registration with the Business Registers Agency. They stressed that the goal of the privatisation bill is to speed up the privatisation process and create the environment conducive to economic development and maintenance of social security, while the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Bankruptcy would improve the business environment, expedite bankruptcy procedures and prevent abuse of the process and corruption.
Following a short debate in which the Committee members raised questions about some of the details of the bills, the Bill on Privatisation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Bankruptcy and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Procedure of Registration with the Business Registers Agency, submitted by the Government, were adopted in principle, by a majority vote.
