National Assembly Speaker and Rights of the Child Committee Chairperson with Youth without Parental Care, Part of Project “Social Inclusion – Generation of the Future”
The National Assembly Speaker and Chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child met today with the young people without parental care who, as part of project “Social inclusion – Generation of the future”, visited the Serbian Assembly to learn more about the Parliament’s work.
As a good example, Gojkovic mentioned the life of Steven Paul Jobs who did not grow up with his biological parents, but became very successful.
The Speaker told the young people that maybe some of them would become MPs and champion the interests of the citizens and young people just like themselves.
“I am sure that, when I speak with you again in a couple of years, I would be speaking with lawyers, engineers, architects, journalists, managers and that you would have achieved your dreams”, said Gojkovic.
The National Assembly Speaker asked her young guests about their ambitions and wishes telling them that they can count on her support both as the Parliament Speaker and Chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
On the other hand, the young people asked the National Assembly Speaker how she became the Speaker, when she had first entered the Assembly and shared their impression of the visit and tour of the Assembly building – Grand and Small halls, library and the salon of Prince Pavle.
