National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic Meets with Leader of Greek Coalition of Radical Left
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Leader of the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), the largest opposition party in Greece, Alexis Tsipras.
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic thanked Greece for the support in offers Serbia in the European integration process, highlighting the successful realisation of the two parliaments’ two-year twinning project.
Speaking of the importance of peace and stability in the Western Balkans, the Leader of the Greek Coalition of the Radical Left Alexis Tsipras opined that all the differences between the states must be overcome by dialogue, in accordance with the tenets of international law, adding that Greece should maintain good relations with all the Balkan states.
Deputy Speaker Marinkovic said that the Greek principled stance on Kosovo-Metohija - to support the maintenance of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, is very important for Serbia.
The officials agreed that good parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Greece would contribute to the further improvement of overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
