Judges and Deputy Public Prosecutors Take Oath of Office Before National Assembly Speaker
Judges and deputy public prosecutors elected to office for the first time took the oath of office before National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic today at the National Assembly.
The judges and deputy public prosecutors took the oath before taking said office pursuant to the Law on Judges and Law on Public Prosecution.
The National Assembly Speaker wished the judges and deputy public prosecutors success adding that she believed they would judge independently and impartially, in line with the law and Constitution, following their conscience and ensuring fair trials for every citizen, thus contributing to the reputation of the judicial office.
The judges and deputy public prosecutors were elected to office for the first time at the National Assembly sitting of 23 May 2014.
The oath taking was attended by representatives of the High Judicial Council and State Prosecutorial Council.
