Head of PFG with France and French Parliamentarians Discuss European Integration, Rule of Law and Economic Reform in Serbia
The members of the French National Assembly Pierre-Yves le Borgn' and Jean-Claude Mignon, visiting Serbia to draft a report on the rule of law in the Western Balkans, met today with the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with France, Natasa Vuckovic.
Natasa Vuckovic said that the opening of the EU negotiation chapters is a credit to the Government, however not only this one, it is the achievement of all the governments since 2000 to date. Vuckovic stated that the European integration process cannot mean simply meeting the technical requirements, in must also instil European values among them division of power, free media and independent judiciary.
French MPs Pierre-Yves le Borgn' and Jean-Claude Mignon will be presenting their report on the rule of law in the Western Balkans to the French Parliament by the end of February 2018.
