Head and Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Brazil Speak to Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Brazil, Zoran Pralica, and the Parliamentary Friendship Group members, met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Alexandre Addor Neto.


In the course of meeting, the officials noted that Serbia and Brazil should urge for boosting cooperation in various economic spheres, a pre-condition to which is fostering amity between the countries and their people via parliamentary friendship group meetings.
Speaking of the Brazilian economy, Ambassador Neto pointed out the numerous opportunities for improving trade between Serbia and Brazil. He also added that the two countries have bilateral agreements in the fields of defence, agriculture and education, which would boost cooperation.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Brazil, Zoran Pralica stressed that the potential for developing cooperation between the two countries’ building industries should be discussed, at the same time listing the mutual benefits the two countries could gain from cooperation in the spheres of agriculture and machine industry. He asked about opportunities for Serbian investment into Brazil, as well as the conditions for foreign investment into Brazil.
Zoran Babic and Aleksandra Tomic, Parliamentary Friendship Group members, presented the stimulating legislation regulating business activities in Serbia, stressing that Serbia can offer its experts to Brazil’s transport infrastructure and other construction projects. On the other hand, Serbia needs investment into the metal industry which is currently in the process of privatisation.
The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group proposed that potentials for cooperation in the spheres of healthcare and pharmaceutical industry should be examined. They emphasised the need to exchange parliamentary delegation visits and meetings between Serbian and Brazilian businessmen in the future.
The meeting was also attended by Parliamentary Friendship Group members Zoran Andjelkovic, Nebojsa Zelenovic, Vesna Rakonjac and Dejan Nikolic.
