On the occasion, they discussed the potential for boosting parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, especially via cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups. It was announced that the Belgian Parliament would soon be forming a parliamentary friendship group with Serbia.
In the course of the meeting, the officials noted that the situation as regards false asylum-seekers has improved considerably and that the Embassy is ready to work with Serbian authorities on seeking solutions such as employment and social support for the citizens of the south of Serbia, so that they would remain to live on the territory of Serbia.
In the meeting, it was also announced that a delegation of the Walloon Parliament would be visiting the Republic of Serbia in April.
