Head and Member of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Palestine Meet with Palestinian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Palestine Nebojsa Tatomir and PGF member Aida Corovic met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Palestinian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mohammed Nabhan.

The officials opined that the Balkans and Middle East share historical and geographical ties and that Serbia and Palestine enjoy traditionally friendly relations which should be developed and promoted further. An improvement in interparliamentary cooperation, involving an exchange of parliamentary delegations, would benefit the overall development of bilateral relations. They agreed that there is also room to intensify agricultural and cultural cooperation.

The officials went on to discuss the current political situation in Serbia and Palestine. The PFG Head Nebojsa Tatomir thanked Ambassador Nabhan for Palestine’s principled position in terms of non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
