Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

At the sitting held on 12 December, the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered, in principle, the Bill amending the Law on Stimulating the Construction Industry of the Republic of Serbia in response to the new Conditions of the Economic Crisis, submitted by the Government.


The representative of the submitter, Minister of Construction and Urbanism Velimir Ilic, stressed that the adoption of the Bill enables the completion of ongoing building projects, adding that the construction industry is the key engine to propel the Serbian economy.
Following a short debate, the Committee adopted the Bill amending the Law on Stimulating the Construction Industry of the Republic of Serbia in response to the new Conditions of the Economic Crisis, in principle.
At the sitting, the Committee also reviewed and adopted, in principle, the Bill on Nationality and Registration of Vessels, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Navigation on Internal Waterways and their Technical Maintenance, submitted by the Government, and shortly outlined by Assistant Minister of Transport Pavle Galic.
The Committee members went on to consider the civic petitions, proposals and initiatives the Committee had received and, at the Committee Chairman’s proposal, established how to process them further.
At the proposal of Committee Chairman Dejan Radenkovic, the Committee members unanimously decided to establish a Working Group to consider the civic petitions, proposals and initiatives the Committee receives. The Working Group shall comprise: Radmila Gerov – Working Group Chair, Vladimir Marinkovic, Slobodan Jeremic and Milan Kovacevic.

The sitting was chaired by Dejan Radenkovic, Committee Chairman.
