Fifth Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications
At the sitting held on 2 July, the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications discussed the Republic Agency for Electronic Communication 2013 Activity Report. The Chairman of the Agency’s Managing Board, Prof. Dr Jovan Radunovic spoke of the Agency’s duties and operation, while the Agency Director Milan Jankovic spoke of the results it had achieved.
The Committee members asked about the Agency’s work, the issuance of broadcasting permits and use of frequencies, the operation of the cable distribution system, the problem of piracy, the digitalisation process, the Agency’s financial dealings and the national broadband network.
Following the debate, the Committee members formulated the Conclusion Proposal on the reviewed Republic Agency for Electronic Communication 2013 Activity Report to be forwarded to the National Assembly for discussion and ruling with the proposal that it be adopted by urgent procedure.
The Committee also reviewed four petitions and, according to the proposal of the Committee’s Working Group tasked with processing petitions, ascertained how to proceed to deal with the submitted petitions.
The Committee also accepted the proposition to hold a Committee sitting outside of the headquarters, in Apatin. The date of the sitting will be decided on subsequently.
The sitting was chaired by Milutin Mrkonjic, Committee Chairman.
