Decision on Joint Meeting of National Assembly Culture and Information Committee and PACE Sub-Committee on Media and Information Society
On the second day of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe spring session, at the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media, it was decided that the National Assembly’s Culture and Information Committee and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Sub-Committee on Media and Information Society should hold a joint meeting in October 2013, in Belgrade.
The meeting is to precede the ministerial conference of Council of Europe member states in Belgrade dedicated to the safety of journalists, freedom on the Internet and preservation of the media’s main role in the digital era.
The Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media elected Serbian delegation member Vesna Marjanovic for rapporteur on the endangerment of the European cultural heritage.
