85th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 1 October 2019, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending considered the bills on the agenda of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2019, in principle.

The Committee members accepted the motion of Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic to complete a joint debate on items 1 to 3, 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 on the agenda.

The Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2019 Budget Law, Bill amending and modifying the Budget System Law, Bill amending and modifying the Value Added Tax Law, Bill on State Aid Control, Bill on Accounting, Bill on Auditing, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance, Bill on Open-Ended Investment Funds with a Public Offering and the Bill on Alternative Investment Funds were presented by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, accompanied by opinions provided by representatives of the Deposit Insurance Agency, Fiscal Council and Parliamentary Budget Office.

Following a debate, the Committee members accepted all the bills in principle and proceeded to grant consent to the Fiscal Council 2019 Fiscal Plan Amendment Proposal.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Bojanic, Sonja Vlahovic, Momo Colakovic, Olivera Pesic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Milorad Mircic, Zoran Despotovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Veroljub Arsic, Aleksandar Stevanovic, Zolatan Pek, Goran Kovacevic and MP Doc. Dr Ivan Bauer who is not a member of the Committee.
