78th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 13 June 2019, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending reviewed the Anti-Corruption Agency 2018 Activity Report, accompanied by the Report on the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2013-2018 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

The Report was presented by Anti-Corruption Agency Director Dragan Simkic, following which the Committee members ascertained a Conclusion Proposal on the reviewed Report and forwarded it to the National Assembly for consideration and adoption.

The Committee members went on to consider and accept the Conclusion of the State Audit Institution amending the technical errors in the State Audit Institution 2018 Activity Report.

The Committee members also interviewed the candidates for the election of one member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures. Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic said that the candidates were tested on 3 June and proceeded to inform the assembled of their test results. The Committee then interviewed candidates Mersiha Markovic, Dragan Stankovic Nikolic and Vladimir Stanic.

Following the interview the Committee formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of Member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures proposing Mersiha Markovic for the post and forwarded it to the National Assembly for consideration and adoption.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoltan Pek, Veroljub Arsic, Srbislav Filipovic, Miljan Damjanovic, Olivera Pesic, Sonja Vlahovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Zoran Bojanic, Djordje Kosanic, Goran Kovacevic, Momo Colakovic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic, Zoran Despotovic and Milan Lapcevic.
