61st Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues
At the sitting held on 12 January, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the notification of the reason for the termination of the term of office of MP Milan Korac, supplied by the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) Parliamentary Group.
The Committee members ascertained that the situation falls under Article 88, paragraph 1, item 8, of the Law on the Election of MPs, which lists death as a reason for the termination of the term of office of an MP before the expiration of the term they were elected for, and therefore proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the term of office of MP Milan Korac elected from the IVICA DACIC – "Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS), United Serbia (US)" Electoral List. The Committee noted that this enables the election of a new MP by the allocation of the term of office by the submitter of said electoral list, to another candidate.
The Committee members then proceeded to review the requests of Deputy Secretary General Srdjan Smiljanic, Deputy Secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission Veljko Odalovic and the Chairman of the Securities Commission Zarko Milicevic to assume another public office. The Committee members responded positively to all three of the requests.
The Committee also discussed the notifications of the National Assembly Deputy Secretary General on the reprimands issued to MPs Dragan Sutanovac, Balsa Bozovic and Janko Veselinovic to maintain order at the Eighth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015. Committee Chairman Zoran Babic stated that said reprimands are sanctioned by a fined amounting to 10% of an MP’s base salary which, according to the report of the Budgetary, Financial and Accounting and Public Procurement Affairs Department, is 6,892.78 RSD. By majority vote, the Committee decided to fine MPs Dragan Sutanovac, Balsa Bozovic and Janko Veselinovic 6,892.78 RSD.
The sitting was chaired by Zoran Babic, Committee Chairman, and attended by Committee members Obrad Isailovic, Olgica Batic, Dragana Barisic, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, Aleksandra Jerkov, Mira Petrovic, Petar Petrovic, Milisav Petronijevic, Sasa Maksimovic, Dusica Stojkovic, Katarina Rakic, Ljubisa Stojimirovic and Aleksandar Markovic.
