At its fifty-seventh sitting, held on 9 May 2006, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the Privatisation Agency’s report on the fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Nis-based Srbija Turist Joint-Stock Company. The deadline set by the Privatisation Agency for the buyer to fulfil his obligations is set to expire on 20 May 2006; the Committee ruled that the Agency should report on its further actions after that date.

Having jointly discussed the Privatisation Agency’s reports on actions taken in relation to the Pancevo, Nis and Pirot dairies, the Committee reiterated its conclusion adopted on 9 February 2006, recommending that the Privatisation Agency should terminate the sale and purchase contracts with the companies’ buyer.

The Committee also discussed the Privatisation Agency’s report on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations and termination of the sale contract for Belgrade-based Hidrotehnika-Beogradgradnja, which had been sold at a public auction.

After considering the Privatisation Agency’s report relating to the request of the Nezavisnost Trade Union and the Small Shareholders’ Association of Sabac-based Zorka Nemetali Joint-Stock Company, the Committee asked the Agency to complement the report with an auditor’s report.
