The Committee then proceeded to discuss as decide to forward to the National Assembly for adoption four Proposals of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council.

The Committee members also ascertained the Proposal of the Decision on the election of High Judicial Council elective members from the ranks of judges, submitted by the High Judicial Council, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on the election of State Prosecutorial Council elective members from the ranks of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors with permanent tenure of office, and decided to propose to the National Assembly to adopt them.

The Committee then selected two members to represent it at the symposium “Improving the role of parliamentarians in the construction of an effective anti-terrorism system within the system of rule of law”, 1-2 March 2016, at the European parliament in Brussels.

The sitting was attended by judge Mirjana Ivic, member of the High Judicial Council, and an associate.
