56th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 6 September 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the following bills submitted by the Government:


  1. Consumer Protection Bill, in principle,
  2. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on Cooperation in the Field of Defence,
  3. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Establishment and Conditions of Activity of Cultural-Information Centres,
  4. Bill on the Confirmation of the Framework Loan Agreement LD 2070 (2020) between the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Republic of Serbia Student for Housing Project Loan,
  5. Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer,
  6. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, and
  7. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Visa Abolition for Their Citizens.

            The Consumer Protection Bill was presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Uros Kandic.
                The Committee members found all of the abovementioned bills to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
                    The Committee members went on to ascertain the text of the act on amending the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia to be presented at public hearings to be organised by the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues, as well as the text of the constitutional law for the implementation of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia to be presented at public hearings to be organised by the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues.
                        The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Zeljko Tomic, Olja Petrovic, Vuk Mircetic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Borisav Kovacevic, Dubravka Kralj, Toma Fila, Arpad Fremond, Ilija Matejic, Milenko Jovanov, Djordje Todorovic and Violeta Ocokoljic.
