48th Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 21 January, the members of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee discussed the Bill on Police, Bill on Public Peace and Order and the Public Assembly Bill, in detail.
The MPs had submitted 339 amendments to the Bill on Police, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted 103.
The Committee also submitted nine amendments of its own to articles 19, 52, 53, 54, 55, 75, 86, 237 and 258 of the Bill on Police.
Out of the 53 amendments submitted to the Bill on Public Peace and Order the Government and the Committee accepted six.
The Government and the Committee accepted four of the 82 amendments submitted to the Public Assembly Bill.
On the behalf of the Ministry of Interior the sitting was attended by State Secretary Milorad Todorovic and associates.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Marija Obradovic and attended by Committee members and deputy members Zoran Babic, Nenad Nikolic, Aleksandar Markovic, Konstantin Arsenovic, Zeljko Susec, Milos Tosanic, Vanja Vukic, Suzana Sarac, Stefana Miladinovic, Zika Gojkovic and Zivan Djurisic.
