42nd Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications
At the sitting held on 1 October 2015, the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications discussed and accepted the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Activity Report for the period May – June 2015.
The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Activity Report for the period May – June 2015 was presented by Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Djordje Milic.
Milic stressed that the Ministry’s chief mission is realisation of the programmes and objectives presented to the National Assembly by the Prime Minister in his address on 27 April 2015, as well as the development of construction and transportation as branches with direct impact on GDP growth. He informed the assembly on all the activities the Ministry realised in the reported period, stressing that, as regards legislative activity, the harmonisation of legal concepts with the EU acquis and regional initiative projects within the Ministry’s purview were the focus of attention.
The Assistant Minister also spoke about the new Law on Planning and Construction which established a coordination system between the Ministry and local self-government units with the aim of establishing a single procedure for the issuance of all documentation necessary for construction on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. He informed the Committee that the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has taken on the role of coordinator with the local self-government units, with the intention that on 1 January 2016 all the prerequisites be met to issue the first electronic building permit.
The Committee then went on to accept the proposal of its Working Group on how to further process the five petitions it had received in the previous period.
Also, at the proposal of MP Katarina Rakic, the Committee made the decision to respond maximum twice to the same petition.
On the behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the sitting was attended by assistant ministers Jovanka Atanackovic and Djordje Milic.
