39th Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications
At the sitting held on 28 July 2015, the members of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications discussed and accepted, in principle, the Bill on Road Transport of Goods and Bill on Road Transport of Passengers.
On the behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Finance, the bills were elaborated by Assistant Minister Sasa Stojanovic.
Stojanovic informed the Committee members that the Bill on Road Transport of Goods regulates matters within the purview of the Republic of Serbia relating to public transport, transportation of goods for personal needs, and other issues concerning organisation and road transportation.
The Bill on Road Transport of Passengers regulates national and international passenger transport and irregularities ascertained as regards monitoring the status of passengers with the aim to introduce order on the market of public passenger transport and station services. The Bill also prevents instances of illegal national and international public transportation of passengers, concluded the Assistant Minister.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milutin Mrkonjic.
