24th Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications
At the sitting held on 18 February, the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications discussed the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Activity Report for the period August-October 2014 and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Activity Report for the period November 2014 – January 2015.
The reports were presented by state secretaries at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Dejan Trifunovic and Aleksandra Damnjanovic. Dejan Trifunovic focused on Corridor 10, Corridor 11, Belgrade-Budapest railway and Belgrade Waterfront as the Ministry’s key projects. He also said that the Law on Planning and Construction is to be amended, adding the reform of PE Serbian Railways as an important segment of the Ministry’s work.
State Secretary Aleksandra Damnjanovic presented the Ministry’s legislative activities with a special focus on the preparation of the amendments and modifications to the Law on Planning and Construction, Law on State Survey and Cadastre and Law on Communal Activities.
The Committee members asked about the situation in PE Roads of Serbia, flood damage recovery at the local level, land conversion and the problems plaguing the appointment of directors to certain public enterprises.
After the discussion, the Committee unanimously adopted both of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure reports.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milutin Mrkonjic.
