17th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 22 February 2023, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the bills on the agenda of the Second Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 13th Legislature.

The Committee found the Bill amending the Law on Central Register of Real Owners, Bill on the Confirmation of Universal Postal Union Acts, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini on Cultural and Educational Cooperation, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Gabon in the Field of Science, Technology, Education and Culture, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Manner of Financing and Drafting of Project Technical Documentation, Conduct of Administrative Procedures for Environmental Impact Assessment, Issuance of Location Conditions, Consents and Construction Permits for Project “Hydrotechnical and Excavation Works on the Arrangement of Critical Waterway Section – the Confluence of the Drina and Sava”, Bill on the Confirmation of the Serbia Corridor X Railways FL - Global Gateway Finance Contract between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank, Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (Serbia Rail Corridor X – Belgrade to Nis Section) Between the Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Serbian Inland Waterway Infrastructure B Finance Contract between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank, all submitted by the Government, to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found the Proposal of the Decision amending and modifying the Decision on the Engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations outside of the Republic of Serbia Borders, submitted by the Government, to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dubravka Kralj, Milica Nikolic, Dr Ugljesa Mrdic, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Zoran Tomic, Sanja Lakic, Nenad Mitrovic, Dr Zika Bujuklic, Nebojsa Cakic, Olja Petrovic, and Ljubinko Djurkovic.
