Following the panel discussion on the Combat against illicit human organ trafficking which included speeches by Suzana Grubjesic, head of the National Assembly’s delegation, Vuk Jeremic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Veljko Odalovic, President of the Commission for Missing Persons and Bruno Vekaric, Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor, Zapf stated that today she would think in more detail and demand that the investigation be implemented under the mandate of the United Nations. Zapf added that she will voice this opinion in future political discussions and insist that the German representatives to the UN react in the same way.

Zapf commended today’s presentation which convinced her of the explanation of Serbia’s position that an investigation of this kind should be under a UN mandate.

Yesterday, the OSCE PA General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions unanimously accepted the Draft Resolution on Combat against Illicit Human Organ Trafficking submitted by the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the organisation, with the amendments submitted by the German and US delegations to Articles 10 and 15 of the Draft Resolution.
