National Assembly Speaker Congratulates Christmas to Citizens Celebrating According to Julian Calendar

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated Christmas to citizens celebrating the holiday according to the Julian calendar:

Dear citizens,

Christmas is one of the biggest and happiest holidays, a day when we dedicate ourselves to each other, rejoice in our family and friends, celebrate birth as the symbol of a new beginning and new hope. At Christmas, we talk only about beautiful things, we will not talk about problems. Christmas also teaches us that we should find joy, optimism and support for others in every day. Serbia has many reasons to be a country of optimism and expectations on this great holiday and at the beginning of the new year. It is all thanks to you, because you have made it a country where joys outnumber problems, and opportunities outnumber obstacles. Serbia will continue to be a comfortable home for all of its people, for all our families, for our children and their descendants.

May you spend Christmas in health, joy, family harmony and togetherness.

Peace on earth, Christ is born!
