Head and Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with India Meet with Indian Ambassador to Serbia and Indian Motivational Speaker

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with India, Ivana Stojiljkovic, and the PFG members met today, at the National Assembly, with the Indian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Narinder Chauhan and motivational speaker, author and curator Birad Rajaram Yajnik, who hosted the interactive presentation organised by the Indian Embassy in Serbia, “Mahatma Gandhi in Belgrade”, on 16 March in Sava Centre.

Thanking Mr Yajnik for the presentation and its positive messages, PFG Head Ivana Stojiljkovic highlighted Serbia and India’s traditionally friendly relations and cultural cooperation.
Saying that Serbia and India have enjoyed excellent relations from the moment India gained independence, Indian Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Narinder Chauhan thanked Belgrade for the help and support in the fields of defence, security and medicine.
Speaker, author and curator Birad Rajaram Yajnik said that Mahatma Gandhi’s words “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” are the core message of the interactive presentation, explaining that this means that we first have to change ourselves, before we can expect others to change.
The meeting was also attended by PFG members Sulejman Ugljanin, Enis Imamovic and Milanka Jevtovic Vukojicic who emphasised the lasting significance of Gandhi’s messages. The PFG with India will continue to cultivate the cultural and bilateral cooperation with India, said PFG Head Ivana Stojiljkovic.
