Head and Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary Speak to Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary Zarko Micin and PFG members met today, at the National Assembly, with the Ambassador of Hungary to Serbia Attila Pinter.


PFG Head Zarko Micin highlighted the high level or bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary evidenced in the fact that the foreign trade between the two countries exceeded 1.7 billion EUR in the last year. Micin also mentioned last year’s joint session of Serbia and Hungary’s respective governments.

Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia Attila Pinter said that there are no unresolved political issues between Serbia and Hungary which allows ample room for the development of economic, trade and cultural cooperation. Ambassador Pinter also announced the visit of the Hungarian Parliament Speaker to the National Assembly.

The meeting touched on joint infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of the railroad Segedin-Baja via Subotica and the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budapest railroad which would have a positive impact on trade. The officials also discussed potential investment and economy projects. The PFG Head and members thanked Hungary for the support it lends to Serbia’s European integration.

The meeting with the Hungarian Ambassador was attended by PFG members Mirjana Andric, Vlado Babic, Dr Boban Birmancevic, MA Milovan Drecun, Vladimir Djukanovic, Biljana Ilic Stosic, Aleksandra Maletic, Milosav Milojevic, Jasmina Obradovic, Biljana Savovic and Arpad Fremond.
