Greeting the Croatian Ambassador, the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, Zoran Pralica emphasised the importance of cooperation between the two parliaments’ parliamentary friendship groups, adding that cooperation between Serbia and Croatia could be improved especially in the spheres of economy and tourism.
Ambassador Kupresanin stressed that the relations between Serbia and Croatia have improved in the past few years, but there are still, he said, some outstanding issues related primarily to the status of the Serbian and Croatian ethnic communities in the two states. Meetings between parliamentary friendship groups could greatly contribute to addressing these issues. Ambassador Kupresanin said he was sure that, in the European Union, Croatia would promote Serbia’s European future considering that a strong and politically stable Serbia is a common goal the region should strive for.
In the meeting with the Croatian Ambassador, the Parliamentary Friendship Group members said they were ready to work on improving and expanding the existing areas of cooperation especially in the spheres of culture, education and economy.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Croatia, Zoran Pralica suggested that the Parliamentary Friendship Group members should visit Croatia and discuss all the outstanding issues between the two states with the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia at the Croatian Parliament.
