Speaking with the Head of the Japan-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group Ichiro Aisawa, the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Japan Goran Ciric and the PFG members stressed that the two countries and nations enjoy friendly relations and thanked Japan for its assistance after the floods in May last year.
The Head of the PFG with Japan Goran Ciric stressed the importance of the existing cooperation and Japan’s assistance in raising the capacities of Serbia’s education and healthcare systems, also pointing out the importance of intensifying cooperation in the sphere of economy and Serbia’s interest in having Japanese companies on its market.
The Head of the Japan-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Japanese Parliament’s Lower House Ichiro Aisawa said that, more and more, Japan is turning toward cooperation with the countries of southern and eastern Europe and there is room to improve the economic relations with Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by PFG members Svetislav Vukmirica, Dr Predrag Mijatovic, Zarko Micin, Jasmina Obradovic and Biljana Pantic Pilja. They highlighted the important role of the MPs, citizens’ representatives chosen in direct elections, in bringing the Serbian and Japanese people closer together. They also discussed the possible intensification of university cooperation and cooperation in the fields of culture and sports.
