Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic said that, having reviewed the documentation submitted by all 7 candidates, the Working Group ascertained that it was submitted in a timely manner, in full and in line with the Energy Law, after which the Committee members adopted, by majority vote, the Report of the Working Group authenticating the documentation submitted by candidates for the election of President and Members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks.

Having adopted the Report of the Working Group, pursuant to Article 203 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee members reviewed the candidates for President and Members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks: Dr Boris Dumic, electrotechnics and computer engineer, candidate for President of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group; Dr Dragan Veljic, Bachelor of Laws, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group; Zivotije Jovanovic, Bachelor of Laws, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “United Serbia – Dragan Markovic Palma” Parliamentary Group; Goran Mandic, mechanical engineer, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “IVICA DACIC – Socialist Part of Serbia (SPS)” Parliamentary Group; Milutin Prodanovic, mechanical engineer, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “People’s Movement of Serbia – New Face of Serbia” Parliamentary Group and Nikola Sibulov, mechanical engineer, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “IVICA DACIC – Socialist Part of Serbia (SPS)”.

The Committee Chairman informed the Committee members that candidate Prof. Dr Dejan Ilic, physics technician, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group, was unable to respond to today’s invitation, so the Committee sitting will be continued on Monday, 2 October 2023, at noon, when said candidate will be interviewed and a List of Candidates for the election of President and four members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks will be determined.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Milosav Milojevic, Zoran Tomic, Dr Zivan Bajic, Veroljub Arsic, Tijana Davidovac, Snezana Paunovic, Pavle Grbovic, Dalibor Jekic, Zoran Sandic, Djordje Stankovic, Miodrag Gavrilovic, Zivota Starcevic, MA Ninoslav Eric and Dr Aleksandra Tomic.

In the continuation of the sitting on 2 October 2023, the Committee members interviewed candidate Prof. Dr Dejan Ilic, physics technician, candidate for member of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks nominated by the “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group.

Having interviewed all the candidates for the election of President and Members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks, the Committee established, by majority vote, the List of Candidates for the election of President and four members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks bearing the following candidates: Prof. Dr Boris Dumic for President, and Dr Dragan Veljic, Prof. Dr Dejan Ilic, Goran Mandic and Nikola Sibulov, for members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks.

The Committee members went on to select Dr Zivan Bajic and Dalibor Jekic to represent the Committee at the Interparliamentary Conference to be held in Madrid 26 - 28 October 2023.
