18th session of the Board of Inquiry Charged with Ascertaining the Truth about New-born Babies Abducted from Maternity Wards in Several Serbian Cities
At its eighteenth session the Board of Inquiry Charged with Ascertaining the Truth about New-born Babies Abducted from Maternity Wards in Several Serbian Cities interviewed the Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljevic.
At its eighteenth session the Board of Inquiry Charged with Ascertaining the Truth about New-born Babies Abducted from Maternity Wards in Several Serbian Cities interviewed the Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljevic.
Mr Milosavljevic told the Committee of his meetings with parents suspecting that their children were abducted from maternity wards, as well as of inspections carried out, and explained the procedure of keeping materials and documents at health care centres. He underlined that health centres have been ordered to allow parents access to documentation and paraffin casts to carry out DNA analysis, in accordance with forensic regulations.
The session discussed data obtained by the Board of Inquiry, mostly regarding record-keeping and the burial of persons who die at health care centres.
