What is an amendment?

 An amendment is a proposed change and supplement to a bill. An amendment can be submitted by the authorized proposer, as well as the competent National Assembly committee. An amendment must contain the elements stipulated by the Rules of Procedure. The rules of amendment drafting are set out in the Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting.
