Newly-Elected Public Prosecutors Take Oath of Office before National Assembly Speaker

The public prosecutors elected to office for the first time took the oath of office today, 31 March 2025, at the National Assembly before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic and Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac.

The Supreme Public Prosecutor said that their future work in the basic prosecutors’ offices would significantly help the strengthening of capacities of public prosecution and the judiciary in general.

“These days, as we face new challenges to criminal law, legal, expert, professional, efficient and responsible work of public prosecutors in the protection of the society and public interest is extremely important”, said Dolovac.

The newly-elected public prosecutors signed the text of the oath which reads: "I swear on my honour that I shall perform the public prosecutorial office with dedication, conscientiously and impartially, and shall protect constitutionality and legality, human rights and civil liberties".
