The delegation headed by Biljana Pantic Pilja, also includes delegation members Aleksandar Mirkovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Elvira Kovacs, Vladimir Djordjevic and Djordje Stankovic.

During the session, MEPs will discuss reforms of the Council of Europe, the role of diasporas and migrants in developing social cohesion, climate change, artificial intelligence, family policy and threats to media pluralism and the independence of the media. MEPs will be addressed, among others, by the German Foreign Minister, the President of Portugal and the Prince of Monaco.

One of the topics of the progress report between sessions of the Bureau of the PA of the Council of Europe was the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo-Metohija. In her speech, the head of the Serbian delegation reminded the MEPs that these were the third parliamentary elections in just a year and a half, which was indicative of the depth of political instability and institutional crisis in Kosovo-Metohija. She recalled that the Parliamentary Assembly had adopted the Dick Marty report and the resolution on human organ trafficking, including the "Yellow House" case, and pointed out that the charges related to members of the Kosovo Liberation Army. She asked why the Council of Europe had failed to react to the attacks on the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Pristina and other international institutions after the verdicts were pronounced. She particularly warned of the attacks on Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, their endangered security and the disrespect for their fundamental rights, and reminded that the Community of Serb Municipalities - one of the key obligations under the Brussels Agreement - had not yet been formed.

"This institution was created to defend human rights, democracy and the rule of law. International law is not a menu from which we can choose what suits us politically. The problem is not the existence of rights, but their respect. And when international law and signed agreements are applied selectively, in accordance with political interests, we are not protecting the international order, but undermining it. And when you undermine the principles on which the international order is built, you are not solving a problem. You are opening Pandora's box," Pantic Pilja pointed out.

Finally, she pointed out the tolerance of the promotion of Nazism in Croatia and condemned the criticism of the manner in which Ratko Mladic was buried in Belgrade, emphasising that every citizen has the right to attend the funeral and pay their respects, which is a matter of personal freedom and human dignity.

At the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Committee member Aleksandar Mirkovic challenged the proposal to adopt and consider a resolution on the Sarajevo Safari. He pointed out that the proposal was based on false and unverified information that had been rejected by the judicial authorities of certain European countries and disputed by influential European media. After a heated debate, the Committee Chairperson proposed that the decision be made at the Committee session in December, which was accepted.

During the session, the Head of the standing delegation Biljana Pantic Pilja and delegation member Elvira Kovacs had a meeting with German MP Tilman Kuban, spokesperson for the CDU/CSU in the German Bundestag.
