National Assembly Speaker Meets with Italian Minister for Parliamentary Relations

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met with the Italian Minister for Parliamentary Relations Luca Ciriani.

Speaker Brnabic thanked Italy for its continued support for Serbia's European path and for its strong support for the opening of Cluster 3, which covers the areas of competitiveness and inclusive growth.

The conversation focused on parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, highlighting its successful development through regular contacts and exchange of visits at all levels, which contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and trust. It was particularly emphasised that economic cooperation is at a high level, with Italy being one of Serbia's most important economic partners for many years, and in this context, EXPO 2027 was highlighted as a significant opportunity for furthering economic relations and promoting investments.

The officials agreed that Serbia and Italy have traditionally cultivated good and friendly relations, based on a strategic partnership and strong political, economic and parliamentary ties.
