National Assembly Speaker Meets with French Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met today with the French Ambassador in Belgrade, Florence Ferrari.

Speaker Brnabic extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Ferrari, who recently took office, and wished her a successful mandate in Serbia.

The officials assessed that bilateral relations between Serbia and France to be at a high level, opining that the two countries are continuously improving them in various areas within the framework of their strategic partnership.

Speaker Brnabic thanked France for its continued support of Serbia's European path, especially in the context of the opening of Cluster 3. She emphasised that Serbia remains fully committed to implementing reforms that bring our country closer to EU membership, and expressed her belief that cooperation between Serbia and France will continue in the spirit of mutual trust, understanding and partnership.

She also reminded that as an envoy of the President of the Republic, she will participate in the Paris Peace Forum on 29 and 30 October, which represents yet another confirmation of the close relations and intensive political dialogue between Serbia and France.
