Foreign Affairs Committee chairperson meets Austrian MP
The chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Gordana Comic, met Green Party MP to the Austrian Parliament, Stefan Schennach, to discuss political situation in Serbia, improving bilateral, especially inter-parliamentary co-operation, and other pressing issues of importance for the two countries.
The chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the
Mr Schennach was especially interested in the upcoming referendum to confirm the new Serbian Constitution, as well as in
Ms Comic emphasised that the new Constitution was an improvement over the previous one in many areas, citing the speed of its adoption, and the lack of public discussion, as her major concern.
She added that
Mr Schennach underlined the readiness of
Ms Comic stressed that Serbia was becoming more and more attractive for foreign investors, and again underscored the need for increased Austrian investment into Serbia’s economy.
