Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Chairperson Congratulates Army Day

"On behalf of the National Assembly Defence and Internal Affairs Committee and on my own behalf, I would like to congratulate all the members of the Serbian Armed Forces on 23 April – Day of the Army!"

Created from the people and always with them, guided by the centuries-old aspiration for the freedom and well-being of their people and homeland, the Serbian Army rose like a phoenix from the ashes and reached the power with which it can defend the people and these sacred ideals.

It is the same today.

In the last ten years, we have witnessed a kind of rebirth of the Serbian Armed Forces, its modernisation and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the training of young generations to professionally carry out the tasks of defending the country. Guided by the maxim of general Zivojin Misic that "he who dares is he who can, he who knows no fear, is the one that moves forward", we are thoroughly developing the Serbian Armed Forces to be able to respond to all challenges, regardless of the size of the threatening force, but rather basing our response exclusively on the size of the sanctuary it defends!

I am convinced that we will persevere on this path and continue to strengthen our army, which is the guarantor of peace, territorial integrity, military neutrality and freedom of our only homeland - the Republic of Serbia.

Long live the Serbian Army!

Long live Serbia!", said the Chairperson of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Sandra Bozic.
