Women’s Parliamentary Network Meets

The members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network met today and elected a new Network coordinator for the period October-November-December 2015 – MP Vera Paunovic.

The members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network and representatives of the OSCE Mission discussed the preparations for the Third National Conference planned for 3 November 2015. The objective of the Conference is to present the most important results the Women’s Parliamentary Network achieved in the past year, and the role of assemblies at the local and republic level in the process of gender sensitive budgeting.

The members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network also discussed the coming activities and adopted the Activity Plan for the period October 2015 – October 2016.

The Network then proceeded to discuss the memo of the Women’s Section of the Serbian Education Trade Union, presented by MA Aleksandra Jerkov, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society, who then suggested, and the Network accepted, that the members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network should meet with the representatives of the Trade Union.
