Petitions and Proposals Committee Chairman Holds Two Meetings

The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic received Ljubomir Radovic, President of the Executive Board of Civic Association Sunce gathering persons suffering from cerebral and infantile paralysis in South-Backa District Novi Sad.



The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic received Ljubomir Radovic, President of the Executive Board of Civic Association Sunce gathering persons suffering from cerebral and infantile paralysis in South-Backa District Novi Sad.

They met to discuss the petition the Association sent to the Committee outlining its difficult situation arising from the fact that their bank account has been blocked.

The Association gathers over 318 persons with the most severe types of disability, among them users of wheelchairs and other aids, as well as persons suffering from involuntary movements, severe speech impediments and other difficulties.

Due to the account blockage the continued work and existence of one of the oldest day centres for persons with multiple disabilities in Serbia is brought into question.

The Chairman concluded that the Committee would implement the appropriate measures to seek possible solutions to the issue, in line with its competencies, after it had received full documentation.

At the same time he promised to visit the Association.

On the same day, Chairman Dujovic met with the representatives of Kolubara Mining Basin from Lazarevac, Deputy Director Vlada Radovanovic and Chairman of the Committee for the relocation of Vreoci Zoran Markovic. They met to discuss the petition the Council President of the Local Community of Vreoci had sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia regarding the relocation of Vreoci.

At the end of the discussion it was agreed to hold a meeting between the representatives of Kolubara Mining Basin from Lazarevac, LC Vreoci and the Municipality of Lazarevac.
