Newly-Elected Public Prosecutors Take Oath of Office before National Assembly Speaker

The public prosecutors elected to office for the first time took the oath of office today, 10 July 2025, at the National Assembly before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic and Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac.

“By becoming a public prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia, you assume a key role in our judiciary system. Your future work will represent an important step in the protection of the society and public interest. In these times when we constantly face new types of crime and fight between good and evil, your legal, professional, efficient and responsible and work will be of crucial significance”, said the Supreme Public Prosecutor.

The newly-elected public prosecutors signed the text of the oath which reads: "I swear on my honour that I shall perform the public prosecutorial office with dedication, conscientiously and impartially, and shall protect constitutionality and legality, human rights and civil liberties".
